Rustington performance will help rescue bears behind bars
Tomorrow (Sunday, May 12) will see a special garden fund-raising event organised by Fiona Franks and her friend Ruby at number 5 Knightscroft Avenue.
The event, which kicks off at 2pm and lasts until 5.30pm, will see musical performances from the St Margaret’s Angmering Hand Bell Ringers as well as Christine Morrison, who will be playing on the keyboard.

Hide AdAll the cash raised during the afternoon will go towards the World Society for the Protection of Animals’ (WSPA) “Big Bear Rescue”, which Fiona is supporting.
She has pledged to try and raise at least £2,150 for the charity’s Big Bear Rescue trek, which will see volunteers taking part in a week-long expedition through the Carpathian Moutains, in Romania.
All the money raised will go towards funding the charity’s efforts to rescuing the last nine or so illegally-kept captive bears, who have spent a life as a tourist attraction with limited space to roam.
It’s hoped that the bears, once rescued, will be released in a secure sanctuary.

Hide AdTickets for tomorrow’s performance are £5 per person or £4.50 for those who pre-pay.
Entrance includes tea or coffee and a homemade cake.
Inside, there will be a range of plants, cakes and books for sale as well as bric-a-brac and event a table raffle.
