Rye cards for good causes

The multi-charity Christmas card shop is currently running at Rye Community Centre.

Shop manager Jane Nunn said: “This year there are even more charities - 35-plus - which means we have more than 2,500 cards. Four newcomers have joined: Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital, including Richard Adams’ totally original take on Christmas in Rye; the Mothers’ Union, Christianaid/Tradecraft and the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

“There are fresh designs for both the Romney Marsh churches and the Music Well. Those for the Music Well are prints from Andrew Blyth paintings, sold individually as they are rather special. I’ve already reordered packs of the Romney Marsh churches’ cards as the charity is regularly one of our top sellers and the new designs will disappear fast.
