Rye charity shop holds open garden showcase
RYE residents were able to find out more about the Sue Ryder charity when volunteers from the local charity shop held an open garden event in the town recently.
Shop manager Denise Ellis said: “It was about showing the public how Sue Ryder raises money, what care and research the charity is working on and how we work in the shop.
“But mainly it was for the volunteers who work so hard in the shop to enjoy the day together.
“We can never thank them enough for all the time and hard work they donate to support people with long term and end of life needs.”
