All the old favourites were back including the popular horse and dog shows, classic cars and demonstrations of country crafts, as well as many new attractions. There were children’s games and mini quad-bikes and people enjoyed a Pimms bar and live music.

Birds of prey and heavy horses also proved very popular with visitors.

Visitors to the show also had the bonus attraction of two Lancaster bombers passing overhead enroute to the Eastbourne air-show.

A spokesperson for the hospital said: “It was a brilliant event and we would like to thank show chairman Jenny Yeo and all those who helped make it such a success, who are too numerous to mention.

“We had 150 classic cars which proved to be a big attraction and people really seemed to be enjoying the day.

“We would also like to thank our main sponsor, local company Abbot Print, who supported us for the sixth year running.”
