Salon in Battle is broken into

Police are appealing for information about a break-in at the Battle Beauty salon in Old Ladies Court, Battle.

It occurred overnight between Saturday (June 13) and Sunday (June 14). The front door was forced and a large quantity of cosmetics was stolen.

These included OPI and Nina nail polish and Dermatologica beauty products. A small amount of cash was also stolen.

Sergeant Mark Botley, of Battle Police, said: “The front door was forced, causing significant damage, so it’s possible there was quite a lot of noise.

“The amount of items taken suggests attempts will be made to sell them on. I’d urge anyone offered such products in suspicious circumstances to let us know.”

Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or who has other information, is asked to email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting quoting serial 533 of 14/6.

Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
