St Nicholas Church is holding a Progressive Supper on August 11. Tickets are £20 and include a three course dinner, wine, coffee and mints,

The Kerry family are doing a sponsored Boat Push for the Stroke Association charity. It starts at the Queens at Hawkhurst on August 25 at around 10am. and will go on to Sandhurst, Newenden and Northiam, stopping for the night at the Cross Inn and then on to the Castle pub in Bodiam on August 26 and back to the White Hart at Newenden at 3pm for a barbecue.

The route covers 19 miles. Please do all you can to support.
