School becomes paradise for book-lovers

Book lovers at a Felpham school have been given a new library in which to endulge their fondness for the written word.

The library is bigger, brighter and more comfortable than the previous room at Downview Primary School.

Easily a thousand books lined its shelves ready for its opening.

It has been created out from a former classroom as part of larger works at the Wroxham Way site.

Nine-year-old pupil Emily Powell said: "I like mystery and adventure stories. I used to go to the old library once a week. I liked the quiet and using my imagination.

"I look forward to coming to the new library to borrow books."

Deputy headteacher James Martin said the new library had been thoughtfully designed with clearly labelled areas to cater for the interests of all the children.

"We know it will provide stimulating and exciting books to help our children progress through the school," he stated.
