Chair of the School Association Teresa Andrews said: “Children and teachers contributed a huge amount, not only making lovely gifts and sweets to sell but manning stalls throughout the day.

“There were fun traditional games and Father Christmas was a lovely treat, seen by many in his gorgeous Grotto. “The raffle was another success with almost 30 prizes generously donated by both parents and local business’ such as Jempsons, Adams of Rye and Rye Retreat for whose support we are most grateful.

“Delicious home made cakes were plentiful and the tombola was so popular it had to restocked twice over.

“We would like to thank all those children, parents, families, teachers, businesses and residents who helped, attended and made the afternoon so special.

“The day its self raised a massive profit of nearly £850, which is fantastic achievement and will be used towards new projector/film equipment for the whole school to enjoy.”
