School goes red, white and blue

RED, white and blue items were turned into a giant Union flag by Walberton and Binsted C E School pupils.

They used objects such as dictionaries, rulers, cones and clocks to form a large flag in the school’s atrium.

Each class took it in turns to contribute as the flag took shape during a fundraising day for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, ABF The Soldiers Charity and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund. A total of £176 was raised for the good causes.

Head teacher Laura Brockhurst, said: “It was such a joy to see all the children collaborate to create our beautiful flag. It was a great way for even our younger children to appreciate why we raised money for such a worthwhile cause.”
