School hostsevening of sporting celebration

On Wednesday July 20 The Forest School hosted its second PE Awards Evening.

The evening presented an opportunity for boys to receive recognition for their effort and performance in a range of sports that take place at Forest.

Over one hundred pupils were recognised and received half or full colours for their performances.

There were also trophies presented to the outstanding athlete, basketball player, cricketer, footballer and rugby player for the year.

The winners were Henry Grayson, Jordan Levey, Luca Cocoracchio, Jamie Atkins and Josh Tavolieri.

Laszlo Nemeth was the special guest for the evening and presented all winners their awards.

Laszlo also delivered an inspirational speech about his journey from playing basketball nationally for Hungary through to his coaching experiences with the England men’s basketball team. He showed all the pupils what can be achieved with talent and application to their chosen sport

The evening was a tremendous success enjoyed by all those pupils’ staff and parents who were present.
