Scouts all set toreturn to Brede

A Scout group will be returning to Brede in the New year after a gap of a few years.

Andy Bishop said: “We are pleased to have a highly experienced team with nearly 50 years of Scouting experience between them to run the troop.

“The Scouts will be open to boys and girls aged 10 and a half to 14 and will meet on Tuesday evenings, between 7pm and 9pm, at the Scout Hall in Stubb Lane.”

The planned opening night will be on Tuesday January 13.

Back in 2010 UK Chief Commissioner Wayne Bulpitt came to Brede to open a new extension to the Scout Hall.

The Scouts played an active part in the community, organising their own Michaelmas Fair.

They also held Christmas Fairs in aid of charity and took part in the Brede Village Festival.
