THANK YOU: to everyone for went to the Cream Tea at the Rectory last Saturday , the weather was perfect for eating out , lots of time for chatting , meeting old and new friends . The afternoon raised £220 plus for church funds.

MACMILLAN BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING: Please make a date in your diary to support this annual event in the village; this year it will be on Friday September 19 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at 2 Forge Cottages, The Green. There will be coffee and cake or biscuits, tea if you prefer, for £1.50. there will also be a raffle and it is hoped a well stocked cake stall for you to purchase from. Maybe even a game of chance or two. Please support this really worthwhile cause for further details call Margaret on 870808

HARVEST FESTIVAL: Please note the date in your diary that the date for this year’s harvest festival and supper at the Parish Church, this will be on Sunday September 28. Further details to follow.

JUMBLE SALE: An early date for your diary, the annual jumble sale organised by the Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust will take place on Saturday November 1 in the village hall. Time to start thinking about clearing your cupboards and wardrobes, if you have items that you would like to donate please put them aside for the cause. Collection of jumble will be available from the beginning of October. For this service please call 870722 or for any further information please call the number below.

CHRISTMAS MARKET: Sorry to mention this word so early but following on from the success of the Open Gardens in the village this year, St Michaels Hospice will be running a Christmas market at Sedlescombe village hall on Saturday November 15. Please make this a date to visit and share with your friends and family in support of this local cause.
