The next monthly Coffee Morning and Mini-Market, sponsored by the Parish Church, takes place in the Village Hall on Thursday 7 November 2013 at 10.00a.m to 11.30a.m. As well as coffee and a scone, there will be stalls selling cakes and jams etc, bric-a -brac, books, plants and bird food, Church post cards, notelets and Christmas cards, a raffle - and, for 50p, a chance to be weighed! As always, you will be made very welcome”

Your village needs you. Sedlescombe Societies Association Annual General Meeting will be on Monday November 18 in Committee room 2 at the village hall at 7.30pm. Please mark this date in your diary and come along to show your support for those that have made this village day possible however it was evident at the last committee meeting that many of the fayre committee have decided not to stand for next year’s committee. Their wealth of experience will be sorely missed and if a new committee is not elected at the AGM then sadly there will be no main Sedlescombe fayre on the sports field in 2014. This is a serious situation for the village, and a great shame in view of the years of work that have gone before mainly by the present committee members. As a thriving village with residents young and more mature then surely there must be some talented volunteers who could step up to carry this event forward. Originally as the title suggests, Sedlescombe Societies Association committee comprised of representatives of all the groups in the village but gradually over the years this has changed. Maybe there could be the possibility of bringing this idea back if groups were willing to participate with one dominate group taking overall charge of the event? Please give this some serious thought as to whether you could give some of your time for your village and our community.
