A special event will take place at the village hall on Saturday May 18 “Tea at the Ritz”. Sedlescombe and District Flower club will be transforming the hall and waiting on you with afternoon tea and delicacies. Please mark your diary now not to miss this, further information on tickets to follow next week

All users of the village hall should be in attendance this Thursday March 14 at 7pm when the Annual General Meeting takes place, where? Of course, at the Village hall. The hall is an excellent facility for the community to use and as such deserves an excellent committee to ensure it is cared for and available for all. Reg Glew , Secretary and Pauline Glew, Chair have given many years good service in these roles but now it is time for someone else to step forward and take over the reins. I’m sure we would all wish to thank them for their commitment over the years but also hope that they might be enticed onto another committee in the village, after a short rest of course.

Don’t forget that if you have little ones, children or grandchildren then Jelly Beans Play group meets at Sedlescombe village hall every Tuesday from 9am to 12noon. Kim Brocklehurst invites you and your children to come and fun, create some art, play with friends, have snacks and enjoy song time. All this for just £2.50 and includes tea, coffee, biscuits and snack.

Sedlescombe’s Got Talent night will now be on Friday June 14, not March 1 as advertised earlier, at the village hall to showcase great local talent and beyond. This will now give even more performers a chance to take part in 2013. Talented performers are requested to come forward as soon as possible to secure their place to perform on the night. There is no entry fee so can you sing, dance, juggle, play, recite or maybe you have another surprise for us? The £100 first prize is available to the overall winner, so don’t be shy. Places are limited so please contact Anthony on 870722 or Jean on 882438 for further information. This is organised by the Friends of Sedlescombe Church Heritage Trust to benefit your local church building.
