Seeboard to pay out for power cuts

PIDDINGHOE homes plagued by power cuts will receive £50 each from Seeboard as compensation.

Since the start of the year villagers have suffered around 90 hours of black-outs.

As reported in last week's Express the electricity company has now launched an investigation to discover the cause.

MP Norman Baker was also on the case this week chasing up the electricity supplier. He said: 'I have been in talks with Seeboard and they agreed to write to everyone in Piddinghoe and give then a 50 goodwill payment as recognition for the trouble the cuts have caused.'

He added: 'However, it is most important that they come forward with a scheme to prevent any repetition of these power cuts.'
