Sentimental jewellery stolen from St Leonards home

Police are appealing for witnesses after sentimental jewellery was stolen from a house in St Leonards.

Thieves stole jewellery including a gold rag doll pendant on a chain, a glass bottle pendant on a chain, a witch on a broomstick pendant on a chain, several rings, bracelets and four charm bracelets.

Also stolen was an air rifle in a draw string canvas bag, an air pistol in a black case and a digital camera.

The intruders broke in to the house on Marline Avenue sometime between 1.20pm and 5pm on Tuesday, January 12.

Detective Constable Cally Fox said: “Some of the stolen jewellery was distinctive and of sentimental value.

“We need to hear from anyone who has any information or any dealers who may have been offered the jewellery for sale.”

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to contact police by emailing or call 101 quoting serial 1090 of 12/01.
