Series of shed break-ins

Police have received three reports of break-ins to sheds and garages in Castle Gardens and Eatenden Lane which are believed to have taken place overnight on October 9/10.

Although some damage was caused, nothing was taken during the break-ins.

Sergeant Paul Masterson, of Battle Police, said: “I’d like to draw your attention to the break-ins and attempted break-ins to outbuildings and sheds in the Mountfield area.

“PCSO Dewitt has visited the victims offering advice and reassurance and I’d like to reinforce that advice by reminding all to please secure outbuildings as best you can and please do not store valuable items in sheds that are easily accessible.”
