Severe accident in Lewes town centre

Motorists have been advised to avoid Lewes town centre which has been the scene of a severe accident that occurred around 5.40pm today (Friday, October 7).

The A277 is blocked in both directions following the incident, around Fisher Street, and there is slow traffic in the area.

There is a diversion in operation by Lewes War Memorial.
