Sex remark made to teen

Police are hunting a man who approached a 14-year-old girl, near Ninfield, and made a sexual comment to her.

Police say the incident happened as the victim was walking between Sidley and Ninfield in Ninfield Road, close to Skinners Sheds.

A man stepped out of bushes in front of her.

The incident happened between 4.30pm and 5pm on Tuesday 23 December.

The man made a sexual remark to the victim, who immediately ran home.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and for information. They describe the offender as being about five foot, seven inches tall.

PC Rob Lee, of the Rother Policing team, said: “The man made no attempt to touch or grab the victim but she is understandably very upset about what happened.

“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area or recognise the description of the man, please contact us.”
