Shop window smashed
A RYE trader has been left counting the cost following an act of mindless vandalism.
The window of Antiques and Art, in Cinque Ports Street, was smashed overnight on Saturday.
Owner Catherine Farnes said: “It is so disappointing to find this kind of damage when shop owners invest in opening businesses in Rye in this difficult financial climate.
“My shop only opened its doors in December so this has come as a blow. I would be grateful if anyone who knows anything about this criminal act would report what they know to Rye police station.”
