Sidley garage fire
EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Services attended a garage fire at a residential property in Mill View Road, Sidley in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A fire officer said the fire appeared to have started in a wheelie bin, which was sited next to the garage, subsequently spreading to the garage and causing "significant" damage.
A passer-by saw the blaze and raised the alarm at approximately 2am.
Two fire engines and twelve fire-fighters attended the scene, and over the course of two hours contained the fire to the garage, preventing it from spreading to the adjoining property.
