The 'Get On' project will enable unemployed men and women to access confidence boosting workshops designed to equip them with the motivation and knowledge to make independent life choices.

The project will have an emphasis on encouraging individuals to progress onto further education and employment. Training will be tailored to the needs of individuals and supported by work placements and providing hands-on employment experience.

'Have a Go' taster sessions are planned at the community association starting on September 20 with painting and decorating. Other sessions include first aid, healthy cooking, computing, make up and beauty and plastering.

The 'Get On' three hour sessions then commence in October and run until the end of November.
