Six-year-old injured in Burgess Hill collision

A six-year-old local girl has been taken to hospital with a fractured leg following a collision with a car.

The incident happened in Burgess Hill yesterday (Monday, April 15).

Police and ambulance services were called to Wingle Tye Road, near Chanctonbury Road, at around 5pm. The girl was on a bicycle when she was in collision with a black Ford Focus.

The girl remains at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment. The 39-year-old male driver was uninjured.
