Slindon caravan fire

A STATIC caravan was severely damaged in a fire yesterday (Thursday, August 13).

It happened at Shellbridge Road, Slindon, just after 4.30pm, and fire crews from Arundel, Chichester and Shoreham spent 90 minutes fighting the flames and dampening the area down.

The 12m x 5m caravan was 80 per cent damaged by fire and 20 per cent damaged by smoke.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said that the blaze had been started accidentally.
