Snow chaos hits West Sussex

All Southern trains were cancelled and roads throughout the county were severley affected by weather, with snow lying on ice in many cases.

There were major jams on the A27 caused by jack-knifed lorries.

Gatwick airport remained open, but not all flights were able to take off. Around 23 flights were cancelled.

Adur District Council, Horsham District Council and Worthing Borough Council announced that their refuse collection services had been suspended on Monday. The crews hope to catch up during the week, weather permitting. If possible, leave your bins where they can be seen.
