Snow falls across the Observer area

Heavy snow is continuing to fall in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Midhurst and Petworth, leaving a blanket of the white stuff.

The Met Office has issued a Cold Weather Alert Level 3 for the region, which may affect all or part of West Sussex.

Snow is currently falling across the county with accumulations of 2cm to 5cm likely.
