Spate of chimney fires

EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has dealt with several chimney fires in the area over the past couple of days. Herstmonceux’s retained crew turned out to a blaze at Bagham Lane shortly before 10.30pm on Saturday night, March 23. The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported. Chimney fires were also dealt with in Robertsbridge, Cross-in-Hand and Mayfield.
