Speeding drivers should beware
Early-morning drivers speeding through Middleton and Elmer risk having their vehicles seized.
The motorists and motor cyclists who are driving in a dangerous manner which is likely to cause concern are having their registration numbers noted by police community support officer Clive Morge.
He says: "It is possible the driver or rider concerned could expect a visit and a warning with the possibility of confiscation of a vehicle should the driver re-offend in the allotted period."
His dawn patrols along Elmer Road and Middleton Road have been prompted by the level of public concern about the area's speed of traffic.
