St Leonards chef banned after drink-driving

Sussex Police said Anthony McDonald, 60, of Caves Road, St Leonards, was arrested in Old London Road, Hastings, on June 10 and charged with driving with 63mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mg.

He pleaded guilty at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on June 29.

He was also ordered to pay a £420 fine, £85 costs and a £42 victim surcharge.

A total of 21 motorists have now been convicted since Operation Dragonfly, Surrey and Sussex Police’s summer crackdown on drink and drug-drivers, started on June 10.
