St Leonards man rebailed by police following death collision

A man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has had his bail extended by police.

The 69-year-old, from St Leonards, answered bail today (Friday, March 17) but must report back to police on Monday, April 24.

The man was first arrested following a road collision in Bulverhythe Road, St Leonards on October 22 last year involving 11-year-old Harley Simpson, who died on November 4 as a result of injuries sustained.

Harley attended Pebsham Primary Academy before going to The St Leonards Academy and played for Hastings & Bexhill RFC’s under-12 squad.
