STAFF RECOGNISED THROUGH CATERING AWARDS

Certificates were handed out for food hygiene, manual handling and infection control amongst other things.

Linda Batchelor, Conquest Assistant Catering Manager said, "It was a fantastic afternoon and I'd like to thank all the catering staff who played their part in making it a very enjoyable event."

One member of staff, Jason Harlowe, had surgery on one of his heart valves last year.

He set himself a goal to take part in the British Heart Foundation sponsored 16 mile walk and several other catering staff decided to join him.

Linda said, "We managed to raise 878.50 between the sponsored walk and a raffle we held last week."

A representative from the British Heart Foundation was present at the ceremony.
