Stained glassimpresses WI

Members of Felpham Village WI were greeted by president Pip Jones when they attended their meeting on January 17 at the village's Memorial Hall.

The inclement weather seemed to deter some members but those stalwarts who attended were rewarded with the excellent demonstration of stained glass craftwork.

Mrs Jane Fowler displayed samples of her stained glass work and members were able to buy their favourites.

One sad announcement concerned the recent death of Mary Nunn, who was a popular and long-standing member of the WI.

Treasurer Audrey Grimley was kept busy writing receipts for members paying their subscription for the coming year.

The Book Club group attended a meeting on January 16 at the home of Gwenyth Barrett who organises the event.

A team will be competing in the skittles event to be held on February 20 at the Waverly Hotel in Bognor,

The next meeting will be held on February 21 at Felpham Memorial Hall at 2.15pm when new members will be very welcome.
