Meeting up at 12.30pm where for the small cost of £6:50 you can sit down and enjoy a delicious 2 course meal followed by tea/coffee. This helps avoid any unnecessary food wastage as well as reduce the cost in time, money and effort. You don’t have to live within our parish as several members travel from outside our community, just to enjoy this wonderful fare amongst friends. MACMILLAN NURSES COFFEE MORNING: Everyone knows the wonderful and awe-inspiring work that the nurses from MacMillan carry out daily, and how they care not just for those who are actually suffering from this diabolical disease, but to the families and friends who are also caught up in the pain and anguish that accompanies it. Their care and comfort knows no bounds and they have brought solace and ease to all that they work with, regardless of age, race, colour or creed. Hundreds of coffee mornings, across the nation are coming together to make a united effort to show their support for these amazing people and Staplecross is no exception. On Friday September 25th a Macmillan Coffee Morning will be held in the Village Hall, Northiam Road, Staplecross to raise funds for this very worthwhile charity. Donations of prizes are being requested for use in the Tombola and Raffle stalls. If you have any quality items that can be used on the Bring & Buy stall, then this could also be a brilliant way to ‘recycle’ them. Perhaps there is a Business, or a Pub or Restaurant, or a generous benefactor, out there, that would be willing to donate something that could be used to help raise much needed funds and which would help make this coffee morning a really, really great success, then that would be so much appreciated and make it all worthwhile, - also it will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling knowing you have helped support such a worthwhile cause. For further information on this forthcoming event, to donate items or find out how you can help, please contact Pauline on 01580~830570. We all know someone who has been affected, in some way, by this hateful disease, and the more we can all help combat it, in any way, the better. So, please, donate an item for a stall, - better still - come along and have a cake and a tea/coffee amongst friends on the day. Show your support, - show you care.
