Steam giantson display atBrede Valleyon Monday

There will be another chance to see giant Victorian steam engines working when Brede Steam Engine Society holds an open day on bank holiday Monday (August 250 from 10am - 4pm.

The engines are housed at Brede Waterworks in the Brede Valley, signposted from the top of Brede Hill on the A28, by the church.

The engines were once used to draw up water from below the valley floor to supply the surrounding area.

Admission to the open day is free and there is ample free parking on the site.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day.
