She said: "We will be pretending we are holidaymakers of the time and recreating a shopping trip of a hundred years ago. We will take walkers to Well's shoe shop in Sackville Road and on to Hamptons gentlemans outfitters in St Leonards Road."

Throughout the duration of the 2 hour trip, which also took in many shop fronts which have changed little over the past one hundred years, Heather and Gillian provided a selection of museum photographs to help imagine the scene.

The walk commenced at the War Memorial on the seafront, covered one and three quarter miles and ended with well earned tea and cake back on the seafront at the Old Bathing House cafe.
