Also, Newmans Gardens car park, off Tanyard Lane, will be closed completely on Sunday, April 15, when cranes will be on-site preparing for building work to start the following day.

Project co-ordinator Jennie Musgrove said: "The week after Easter will be a hectic time for all the practice staff, and our community nursing teams, while the move is on.

"We are hoping all will go smoothly so that the health centre is ready to open for business again on Monday morning, without any hitches.

"Everyone is trying to minimise disruption for patients, and the health centre phone number will not be changing."

Upper Beeding's health centre, in Dawn Close, will deal with emergency cases only on the move days.

The new Steyning Health Centre is due to open next year.
