STONE CROSS WINDMILL: WILL start the 2916 season on Easter Sunday March 27 when the Mill will be open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. The Mill will also be open on Easter Monday for the same timings. The Mill Store will also be open for the sale of tea and cakes and for the sale of mill ground flour.

APPEAL TO SELLERS IN Eastbourne: who may have been paid in fake notes. Police are appealing to anyone who has bought items in the Eastbourne area and may have been paid in fake money. Officers are investigating a man contacting sellers advertising items for sale on Gumtree, Friday-Ad and Facebook selling sites, including Eastbourne Buy, Sell and Swap, then paying for them with counterfeit notes. Investigator Bernadette Peters-Shorter said: “We know there have been at least four victims but there could be more people who have sold items and not realised to start with that they have been paid in fake money. Please get it touch. We have conducted warrants in Sorrell Drive, Pensford Drive and Horsa Close in Eastbourne and have seized a number of items. The investigation continues.” Anyone who thinks they may have been a victim is asked to contact police on [email protected] quoting serial 1680 of 08/02

ASSOCIATION OF SUSSEX FOLK: The Eastbourne Association of Sussex Folk was founded in 1954 with the aim to “Know our Sussex better” Monthly meetings are held from September to May and at most of these meetings speakers give an illustrated talk on a variety of Sussex related subjects.
