Store to bring 20 jobs to Bexhill

TWENTY new jobs are coming to Bexhill as The Original Factory Shop opens the doors to its new 6,000 sq ft department store in the town next month.

The new store, at 8-12 St Leonard's Road on the site of the former Courts furniture outlet, will offer men's, ladies and children's fashion wares, as well as homewares, electricals and toiletries, including a large selection of branded goods.

The Original Factory Shop has invested over 250,000 in its new Bexhill store as part of its expansion plans and will welcome its first wave of customers into the store in Bexhill on Thursday, April 16.

The chain's property and acquisitions manager Mike Harrison said: "The Bexhill store has already had a fantastic response from the local community and we're delighted to be opening in the town.

"Now more than ever our customers are appreciating the great range of value products that we can offer right on their doorstep.

"Our aim is simple, we want to reach and serve local communities and there are many towns nationwide like Bexhill that lend themselves perfectly to our retail model.

"In the current climate people are tightening the pursestrings and, above all, are looking to shop locally and seek out the good quality, value products, which The Original Factory Shop is recognised and well-loved for."
