STORRINGTON CAMERA CLUB SUCCESS

STORRINGTON Camera Club has been awarded more than £6,400 of lottery funding to help provide new equipment and learning resources for its members. With only 19 members at the beginning of 2006, funding was vital to update the resources to have digital projection equipment, including laptop and drop down screen for use at its fortnightly meetings.

The club was delighted to be givenb the full amount asked for and the cheque was presented on Storrington Village Day at the club's exhibition stand on Saturday by district and parish councillor, Chris Mason.

Another cause for celebration was the Gold Medal awarded by the Royal Photographic Society's Nature Group to Storrington club member Ian MacWhirter. Five of Ian's prints were accepted in total, one of which was the Gold Medal winner.
