Student clinches Diana award

A Barnham student has received national recognition for his outstanding contribution to his school.

Christopher Beaumont (15) was chosen for the Diana Award because of the inspirational qualities he has shown through his commitment to overcome his special educational needs and achieve excellent academic results.

The Diana Award is a living legacy to the late princess which recognises and celebrates the outstanding qualities and contributions made by many young people to their schools and communities.

Christopher was presented with his certificate by the headmaster of Slindon College, Ian Graham.

Mr Graham said: "We are very proud of Christopher who has set an outstanding example to other pupils at the school.

"I am delighted that Christopher has joined the ever-growing list of Slindon pupils who have achieved this award since its inception several years ago."
