Student is an inspiration

Nicholas Brook, 15, received the Diana Award for his outstanding contribution to the college.

He has led the student council, been appointed Head Boy and has overcome his shyness to lead others.

Kathy Stonier, principal at Ringmer Community College, said: 'Nicholas justly deserves this award.

'He is one of the most thoughtful and considerate young people I know.

'He always thinks of others and has worked hard to ensure that all students in the college are listened to and fairly treated.'

The Diana Award, named after the late Princess, recognises and celebrates outstanding qualities and contributions made by young people to their schools and communities.
