Students help Rye shine

FRIDAY looked sunnier last week as Rye Studio School students wore every shade of yellow in support of the charity Shine.

The objective was to raise awareness of Spina Bifida and is supported by Year 10 student Lauren Gander.

Lauren is an outstanding fund raiser and has already raised over £500,000.

The day was launched at The George Hotel in Rye and Lauren and fellow students spoke about the cause.

Further events are planned for the year ahead where students will create small businesses and compete in fund raising activities.
