Summer celebration for over 50s

MORE than 100 members of an over 50s club attended a summer party last Friday.

The Phoenix Over 50s annual summer party took place at Worthing Leisure Centre, in Shaftesbury Avenue, Durrington.

There was a Pimm’s and fruit punch reception, before members made their way into the garden for a hog roast followed by desert.

Between courses the Phoenix Singers entertained the audience with a medley of songs from Oklahoma.

Jeanie Dickenson, the Club Coordinator, said: “I was delighted with yet another fun event and on behalf of the members want to thank the Phoenix manager Peter Betts, the centre manager Duncan Anderson.

“Without their support the event could not have taken place.”
