'Superheroes' from Bognor Regis step out for charity

Sixth-former April Fullick strode out along Bognor Regis with her friends to help less fortunate children.

April, 17, gathered together some of her pals and her relatives to walk about a mile between the Marine Drive West beach huts and the pier in aid of Children in Need.

The youngest was aged just two. The walkers were dressed as superheroes.

Bognor Regis Community College student April hopes to have raised at least 200 from the stroll last Friday afternoon.

She said: "I wanted to help Comic Relief and it's fun to organise an event like this. It would be really boring if everyone sat at home and did nothing."

The event followed a ten-hour sponsored walk which April organised for Comic Relief two years ago.
