Various dance styles are welcome and each entrant will be paired up before the start of the competition.
“We hold categories in Hip Hop, Breakin and Popping. However we try to speak about other styles such as Locking, Afrobeat and House,” said Carly.
The best eight entrants will then go through to a series of one-on-one battles, quarter-finals, semi-finals and then the big final battle.

Spectators are to congregate on the basketball courts on the lower promenade to watch the dancers fight it out.
“We like the idea of an outside space that is accessible to all, the beach is what makes this battle different from others in the UK.”
Entrants will need to be 13 or older and can enter by paying £2 on the day.
