The talk is being given by Dr Martyn Waller of Kingston University.

He was in charge of the Romney Marsh Research Trust’s extensive borehole survey of Romney Marsh, and will describe how the results of that project have allowed a breath-taking recreation of the geological shifts that created and destroyed Old Winchelsea, then stranded New Winchelsea, and provided the only solid clue to the location of the old town.

The talk will start at 2pm in the Church.

Entrance is free for members and £4 for others. All are welcome.
