Taxi drivers raise funds for hospital

TAXI drivers from Heathrow have raised more than £1,000 for disabled veterans.

Charlie Johnson, a London Heathrwo taxi driver, arranged a collection for the Worthing based Queen Alexandra Hospital Home at Heathrow aiport.

Hundreds of taxi drivers made donations to the home, which provides care and rehabilitation for physically disabled ex servicemen and women.

Together they raised a total of £1,070 for the Queen Alexandra Hospital home.

Hollie Lucas, community and events fundraiser at the home, said: “I’d like to thank Charlie for his continued support of QAHH, and to all of the taxi drivers at Heathrow who donated to raise this amazing amount of money.”
