Teenager injured after stabbing in Eastbourne

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after a suspected stabbing in Eastbourne today (Monday).

Police and emergency services were called to Seaside, close to the junction with Beach Road, after a 15-year-old young man was found with what are being described as stab wounds.

A person is currently in police custody assisting officers with their investigation.

A spokesperson at Sussex Police said, “At 12.47pm today police were called to a report that a boy aged 15 had been stabbed in the arm at Seaside, Eastbourne. “His condition is not assessed as life threatening.

“A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

“The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at present.”
