Teenager scarred after unprovoked attack

A 17-year-old boy was left needing stitches after an unprovoked attack in Brighton, police have said.

The victim was walking along Staplefield Drive, Brighton, shortly before midnight on Friday (January 13) when he was attacked by two men.

Police said the teenager was left with scars to his face.

The perpetrator were described as wearing tracksuits, one in all grey and one in all black.

Two men, aged 19 and 22, from the Brighton area were arrested close to the scene along with an 18-year-old woman. All three have been bailed until March 4.

Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon said: “This is a serious incident which has left a young man with significant scarring to his face. Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information that would assist the investigation. You can report online or call us on 101 quoting serial 1458 of 13/01.
