Thief ordered to pay Angmering Sophie back

MAGISTRATES have ordered a thief to repay money he stole from a fund set up to pay for a life-changing operation for five-year-old Sophie Nugent, from Angmering.

James Taylor, 21, of Ryebank, Yapton, was found guilty by Worthing magistrates of stealing a collection box belonging to the Help Sophie Walk appeal, from the Co-op store in Angmering.

Taylor was ordered to carry out community service over the next 12 months, was placed under supervision for 12 months, and ordered to pay £200 compensation to the appeal.
